Golf Driving Tips and Techniques

Everybody can use golf driving tips. Nobody gets it right all the time, and that includes seasoned professionals as much as newbie amateurs.

You go for a game of golf to relax and get away from life. Then you step up to the tee, take a swing, and it all starts to go wrong. You watch helplessly as the ball slices off to the right, pulls to the left, or just plain stops in the near distance as a result of a poor shot. All of a sudden, you don’t feel so relaxed. You feel tension and stress creeping back into you and your game. Now you can put a stop to all that.

It is said by many that the driver is the most difficult club to master. The longer the club, the more skill you use. To deliver a strong drive a player requires the most perfect body alignment that he can possibly achieve while controlling the club face-to-ball contact.

Grip is very important here as insufficient finger grip and too much palm can spoil a golfer’s contact and ruin the swing. Grip errors are among the first problems that show up in a golfer’s game. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your grip, and when you’ve found the one that works for you, practice until it becomes second nature.

The rhythm of the swing is also important. Without it, you’ll keep building that frustration. Try saying ‘one’ at the top of the backswing, and ‘two’ as you make contact with the ball. With practice, you’ll get to feel the natural beat of the movement.

Pay attention to your stance. Always maintain your feet parallel to the line you want the ball to follow. Keep your backswing compact, so that it’s easy to repeat over and over again. Finally, when you follow through after hitting the ball, release your tension and let centrifugal force take over. Your chest and hands should remain in line as your club approaches the end of its swing. With these golf driving tips, your drive will surely improve if you keep on practicing.
